Blessing In Disguise
P. D. Kai Swigart © 2004
Surfer girl, ridin high above the world,
She seems to know just what to do,
Catchin waves, while attention she enslaves,
Shes a north shore girl with a walk thats straight and true.
And God what did you do? What did she ever do to you?
How could you break her, shake her, take her life away?
You took the thing that she knew best, when she had always passed the test
Of bein true to you, my God what did you do?
Its a blessing in disguise, and when you see it through her eyes
Youll realize that its a blessing in disguise.
Its a blessing in disguise, and theres a reason for her cries,
Look through her eyes, youll see the blessing in disguise."
She understands, and sees the purpose in your plans,
With just one arm she moves ahead,
Youre in control, and not the body, but the soul
Is what shes all about, and she believes the things you said.
Its a blessing in disguise, and theres a reason for her cries,
Look through her eyes, and see the blessing in disguise."
